Raining: A View From My Car

It was extremely hot and I was feeling a bit muggy. Thank goodness for the rain! First it was a few drops, then a bit more and then it poured! Oh yes, relief at last!

But it wasn’t long before the heat returned and I was feeling the heat of the Sunshine State!

This photo was taken using my iPhone. I love the blur in this photo. There wasn’t a need to edit this photo other than to add my signature. I loved it just the way it was photographed.

Enjoy!

Relaxation At Last: A View From My Car

Hello everyone!

I am officially back!!! Back from vacation in FLORIDA!!  Okay, so it wasn’t Miami or Orlando but Jacksonville is pretty cool. I have been a few times but not with a camera. A camera changes your perspective of everything. It was like visiting for the first time. Can you hear the Oohs and Awwhs… come closer to the monitor … Right there! :)

City Commuter: A View From My Car

Today’s Photo: City Commuter

20120519-085434.jpg

Hi everyone! Today’s photo was inspired by the song Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne. My best friend’s daughter loved this song! She would play it over and over in her room while we sat and caught up on old times. It was quite a catchy song. I hadn’t realized after hearing it so often, I learned the words.

I haven’t heard it for a while now. Maybe she’s moved on. Tweenagers! :) Now that I think about it, she’s definitely moved on to whatever is new and “hot”! :D

The original photo was taken in color but I decided to convert it to b&w. I tried to bring out the textures a bit more but since I am posting from my phone I am not sure how it translates on WordPress.

Enjoy your day and see you soon!

The Gift That Keeps Giving: A View From My Car

20120511-234214.jpg

As went through my photos, reminiscing the moments they where taken, I stumbled across this one. This photo was taken some time ago with my iPhone from my car.

I took a moment to reflect on the meaning of this photo and it reminded me that we seem to find the strength to always keep moving but forget the need to be still. What I mean by this is; letting your current thoughts about the day ahead of you slip away long enough to just hear yourself breathe … in and then out and then giving thanks for all that is around you. Give thanks for those who are in your life today and those that where yesterday; as they all serve a purpose. Give thanks for the love you have received and that which was given; for it’s the universal language we all understand.

Really, it only takes a moment out of your day to do this and the gift in return is it that this moment stays with you for as long as you allow it to do so. It’s the gift that keeps giving.

Nature seems to always find a way to remind me that its beauty is a gift and that gift should be cherished. Nature gives so much and only asks for love in return.

So today, no matter where you are, take a moment to really be still and hear yourself breathe and finally, give thanks to all that is around you.

Live Life, Respect Life, Love Life

Enjoy!

Geometric Blue: A View From My Car

20120512-195124.jpg

I was on my way home from my sister’s house and decided to drive through the city instead of taking the highway. It’s always nice when you can take a more scenic route…. to anywhere!

Today’s photo was inspired by my love of geometric patterns. I love the design of this building. It’s got great lines! And yes, the pun was intended! ;)

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend!!
