Today’s Photos: Dining In Tonight
More to come on the 50mm challenge tomorrow.
After work yesterday, I went to visit a friend who was going out of town on vacation. We ran a few errands to prepare for the trip. On our little venture, we stopped at the light by a market that was selling fruit outside. I love fruit but I had no intensions of stopping. We were on a mission. But it was the wagon-like cart that caught my eye. It’s nothing new or amazing profound but I just liked the assembly of the fruit display. So that is the story behind the photo.
My friend is happily enjoying a vacation in mountains while I’m now having a craving for fruit. Man… I should of bought some fruit! 🙂 Next time I’ll definitely stop for some fruit.

Why is it that something sweet makes everything better, especially dessert? Earlier, I posted my first poem. Normally I would not share it in this medium. But I posted it and conquered fear #2.
A few hours later a friend of mine called to tell me she had a surprise for me. I’m not a big fan of surprises but something told me this was going to be a good one.
Here is where it all went downhill. As I went to upload my Project365 photo for the day and write a quick blurb, my Internet connection was lost. I proceeded to call the cable company. They advised me that my modem wasn’t responding and they would send someone out today as an emergency since I didn’t have access to a landline, cable or Internet. Five hours later and still no one came. I called the cable company back once again. Their new response was there was a “pole problem” i.e. a local area outage and there’s no ETA at this time. All I could do was say, “okay.” At this point I was not a happy camper.
Then the doorbell rang. They’re here! Not quite… Instead it was my surprise. My friend had brought me a wonderfully perfect slice of pumpkin pie cheesecake drizzled with little pieces of pecan. I love, love, love cheesecake (which one of the many reasons I could never give up dairy) and I was in heaven! It sure was a beauty and I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in its velvety goodness! After a few bites, I thought, I must capture what’s left of the full-on greatness of this slice of cheesecake. I grabbed my iPhone and took a picture. What a beauty! Oh, wait I said that already…
So I am sending you this post via iPhone! Thanks ———- (cable company to rename nameless)!!!
